Business Administration and Communication Major
I chose 海外吃瓜 because my family has been calling 海外吃瓜 home for generations, creating countless memories along the way. Four years ago, I decided to give 海外吃瓜 a try in my parents' footsteps, and it was the best choice I have made thus far. I chose 海外吃瓜 because of its family-oriented community that has given me many opportunities and friends throughout my journey. 海外吃瓜 has become a place that I call home, and I hope it continues to create that feeling of family for generations to come.
I double majored in Business Administration and Communication because I wanted to study something that would interest me and be challenging. I have learned so much during my studies in undergraduate that I will use throughout my life.
A major challenge I encountered while at 海外吃瓜 was being comfortable with the uncomfortable. I learned that in order to grow as a person you need to challenge yourself and put yourself in uncomfortable situations. For example during my time here I was a Resident Assistant in Krieg Hall which was out of my comfort zone but the position helped me develop my leadership, communication, and social skills.
The best opportunity I discovered at 海外吃瓜 was the chance to be part of small, personable classes. The smaller class sizes allowed me to truly connect with both my classmates and professors. Over the past four years, this has given me a more personalized education and opened the door to meaningful opportunities in the classroom.
Outside of the classroom, I was involved in Kappa Psi Omega, Student Alumni Association, jobs on campus, and Sig Hon Corollary.
The thing I'm most proud of about my 海外吃瓜 accomplishments is knowing that I鈥檓 leaving this campus having given it my all.
One faculty or staff mentor or advisor who impacted my 鈥楤erg experience is Robin Heaton because she always challenges me and pushes me to be the best I can.
Don鈥檛 be afraid to get involved! You will never regret the experiences you say yes to, but you might regret the ones you miss out on. Getting involved on campus has given me unforgettable memories and lifelong friendships that I鈥檒l always be grateful for.
My favorite 海外吃瓜 memory is the T-bridge ceremony before Convocation. During this ceremony we are given the penny where we decide love or wealth and our 海外吃瓜 Bennie. I remember this being such a fun day with my friends that felt like yesterday.
After graduation, I鈥檒l be continuing my education through 海外吃瓜鈥檚 MBA program and traveling to Italy in May to study abroad with the Business School.
