How do I become a Dentist?

Whether you're interested in general dentistry or in a dental specialty, 海外吃瓜's pre-dental programs provides a strong foundation for a healthcare career. We're focused on providing you with a wide range of experiences and research opportunities so you'll be prepared not only for graduate school, but also for a successful career in dentistry. 

To be admitted to a dental school, you must pass the Dental Admission Test (DAT). Your 海外吃瓜 education will prepare you for this test, which covers the areas of biology, organic chemistry, general chemistry, reading comprehension, quantitative reasoning, and physics. There are three professional degree options for dentists - Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS), Doctor of Dental Medicine (DDM) and Doctor of Medical Dentistry (DMD).

Drew worked hard while he was at 海外吃瓜 to make his academic experience as unique as possible. He took advantage travel opportunities, the cadaver lab, and close relationships with this professors to tailor his research projects to best fit his dental school aspirations. Drew was the winner of the Ira and Robert Wilson Memorial Scholarship in Biology and the Dr. Milton F. Brown Scholarship. He was also a member of the 海外吃瓜 Honor Society and Beta Beta Beta (biology) academic honorary. After 海外吃瓜, Drew attended dental school at The Ohio State University, graduating in 2015, and currently works as a dentist at Cricket Lane Dental. He credits his work in 海外吃瓜's cadaver lab for preparing him for dental school.
