What's all the HYPE about?

The HYPE Career Ready® Program is a co-curricular program students complete over the course of their entire career at º£Íâ³Ô¹Ï. HYPE aims to cultivate career competencies that are crucial for students’ professional lives. Completion of the program enhances students’ knowledge necessary to engage in an ever-changing global society and provides an advantage to students given employer demand for the 5 HYPE skills.

HYPE Career Connections

HYPE Career Connections, powered by Simplicity, is a one-stop shop for things career-related: creating resumés, cover letters, statements of diversity, professional portfolios, etc.

HYPE Career Connections allows you to:

  • apply to internships, jobs, work-study, on-campus jobs, etc.
  • connect with employers globally
  • create a professional page for networking with potential employers
  • schedule appointments with us from this platform
  • cell phone compatible

HYPE speakers will expose students to inspiring stories of leadership, dedication, and success. Each HYPE Day will feature one keynote speaker to kick-off the day and interact with students during a Q&A.

Sessions

During a HYPE Day, you'll attend different sessions that focus on one of the HYPE Skills. These skills will increase your professional confidence and help you impress future employers. Choose from sessions like Finding a Career Experience, Discovering Your Strengths (PRADCO I), Creating Smart Goals, and Finances For Life.

Experiential Learning Opportunities and Professional Portfolios

The HYPE Career Ready® and Placement Office provides undergraduates with the opportunity to apply knowledge obtained through coursework to an on-the-job experience. Internships and experiential learning opportunities allow students to develop the knowledge necessary to further their careers.
