Health Science Major
I chose 海外吃瓜 because of the immediate sense of home that I felt when I stepped onto this campus. Tiffin and 海外吃瓜 create a community of love and family that can be felt by anyone who comes to this town, and being from Denver, Colorado, that was one of the most important characteristics I was looking for in a college.
I majored in Health Science because I wanted to have an education that would allow me to complete everything I needed for PA school, while also learning key information about working in healthcare that a Pre-Med biology or biochemistry major would not have gotten. I think the opportunity to learn both in the disciplines of biology and health science gave me the necessary tools I needed to feel comfortable entering the workforce in healthcare.
A major challenge I encountered while at 海外吃瓜 was learning to juggle the multiple different facets of my life and I handled it by learning to force myself to be routine oriented, I learned to thrive off due dates that allowed me to keep my head above water when I was constantly busy with class, practice, or a meeting.
The best opportunity I discovered at 海外吃瓜 was the opportunity to serve the student body as Student Senate President. It was an honor to have had the chance to speak for the students and help improve our campus and the student experience in my time as president.
Outside of the classroom, I was involved in Student Senate, Nu Sigma Alpha, Tri-Beta, Chemistry Club, and Scrubs.
The thing I'm most proud of about my 海外吃瓜 accomplishments is my work in the cadaver prosection class in the fall of my senior year.
One faculty member who impacted my 'Berg experience is Dr. Faber because she taught me discipline and gave me so many incredible opportunities to advance my learning so that I could feel prepared to enter the world of healthcare.
My advice to new freshmen would be to get involved on campus outside of your main interests. There are so many things to do here, do not just stick to what you are comfortable with.
My favorite 海外吃瓜 memory is playing sand volleyball down at Hedges anytime it was nice outside.
My plans after graduation are to take a gap year and build my clinical hours before attending PA school.
